“Judy was so helpful, so lovely and a good friend, always there for us. Her knowledge and experience were second to none. She will not only be missed by this club but all clubs. Everyone wherever we have been have asked after her and all have a deep affection for her. Thank you Judy for all your help. I will miss our phone calls and Fred (Colin) will miss your roving reporter messages”.
Debbie Martin, Ladies Captain

“Judy was an invaluable member of our club who gave Debbie and myself her support and guidance at all times and was always available at the end of the phone.
Dear Judy I also classed as a friend.
She carried all her health issues with such dignity. Judy will always be a memory away “Don’t worry, I’m on a roll” she would say…. Bless her.
Sian Hunter, Ladies Vice Captain

“Her support for Frinton Ladies was so constant even when she herself was in pain. We will miss her so much”.
Val Duncan, Ladies Secretary

“I have known Judy for a very long time at our club. She was always the same, had a lovely smile and worked very hard in her positions at the club. She never complained about her failing health. She just go on with it.
I will always remember her as a lovely person and a great stalwart of Frinton

Bowls Club. Lets hope she is now at peace”.
Dave West, President, FBC

“Super Club Member and all round lovely lady who will be very much missed around the club”.
Phil Armstrong, Men’s Captain

“What very sad news”
Jean Saunders, Trustee

“I would be grateful if you could pass on condolences from the Dovercourt Ladies to Judy Bacon’s family and friends. Judy was a lovely lady and will be very much missed in the bowling community.
On a personal note, I will miss the chats I had with Judy about bowls matches for the
coming season. It was always a pleasure to hear from her and even though she had some health issues she was always cheerful”.
Val Green, Ladies Sec, Dovercourt BC

“Judy was an excellent lead and with Janet as Skip, I just had to turn up! Thursday was usually a match day and also Probus. On many occasions, Judy and I rushed through the Probus lunch in order to get to a bowls match in time and despite what people say, we played better on a full stomach!!”
Val Edwards, Past Ladies Captain

“I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Many ladies will have known Judy for many years. I send my condolences and she will be remembered at the forthcoming Council Meeting.
Jill Polley, Hon Sec ECWBA

It was a privilege and a pleasure to have known Judy.  She was a Lady in every sense of the word.  She will be greatly missed.
Peter and Brenda Roskilly

I met Judy the first time I joined Frinton in 2013, when she was recovering from one of her many operations and treatments but she was upbeat and non-complaining, a pleasure to bowl with.
Judy was the voice of reason on selection and always spoke fairly, without bias, whatever her opinion she kept it to herself, but she was no pushover!
It was a pleasure to meet up with her again when I re-joined last year, still smiling despite all her health problems, she will be sorely missed and difficult to replace.
At peace and pain free finally.
God Bless.

Message to Judy❤️
Judy, I met your sons today. They said you were their rock.
You were Frinton Ladies’  rock too.
I’ve only known you for 3 bowls’ seasons but what an everlasting impact you will have on me.
RIP Judy.

Judy was a dear friend of over twenty years – she always had a smile even when she was so poorly. She suffered so much in recent years and was always determined that she would be back bowling soon.  Sadly that wasn’t to be.  Judy is now at peace and will be forever in our thoughts.  We offer our condolences to Judy’s family at this sad time.
Pauline and Peter Callan.

The first time we met Judy 21 years ago when joining Frinton Bowls Club, we knew what a special person she was.  We played in the Mixed Pairs against Judy and Don and we were not only impressed by their bowling but their kindness.
Over the years Judy has given so much support and work to the Club and it was always such a pleasure to see her and bowl with her on our lovely green.  It was an honour to have known you Judy.  God bless you.  Rest in peace”.
Dora and Jim Ralph
